Líderes Campesinas is proud to be the voice for farmworker women advocating at local, county, state, and national levels. Our members and staff are powerful advocates for policies and programs that invest in the prosperity and health of farmworkers.

For example, we represented our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic on public committees such as the CALOSHA Advisory Committee and issued several public letters to the Governor to demand that our elected officials respond to the most pressing needs for farmworker women.

As part of the Visión y Compromiso and Alianza Nacional movements, we work to pass legislation in California and federally such as Safety Net for All which would extend unemployment benefits to farmworkers, and Senate Bill 831- the Agricultural Worker Permanent Residency Program and with the USDA to pass a strong Farm Bill.
